I’ve been away for a bit, I’ve got my own problems and don’t always have time to tell you bitches what I’ve eaten. Although this bitch has been eating a lot lately. Because I’m pregnant again and of course I’m terrified of miscarrying but I’m also a fucking mommy blogger now over on mom.me so it’s hard to keep it under wraps when you write for a series called The Conception Diaries. But now that I’ve conceived I think that gig is drying up so to speak, so I’m going to be trying my hand at mommy blogging. Which is crazy, I don’t think I can say “fuck” over there but but I did write my first piece for them today about Ferguson.
After watching the news last night with my family I kept thinking about it. Denver had a small peaceful protest and I made a joke on Twitter that is was calm because of the legal weed. But I was also glad that even with all my shit talking about Denver’s white people’s ignorant remarks to my face at least I know some people here care about the crazy injustices going on in this country. I had read this summer that Denver cops want body cameras which I think is a great start to helping police our police. I saw this picture on Facebook today:

And it moved me. No parent should ever have to feel grief like this. America is fucked up. I’m sorry for Mike Brown, his family and Ferguson. I’m sorry for all the black boys that have been gunned down by the police, including my cousin. RIP Junebug. We need change and we need it now and I don’t think we are going to get it but I’m going to keep trying to help white people understand what the hell is going on, no matter how painful it may be for me and even if I have to mommy blog to do it.
